Black, White, & Hot Pink Bridal Shower

Before I get on to blogging (or should I say, blabbing) about our hall bath reno, I wanted to post a few pictures of the bridal shower my mom & I threw for my step-sister Lori a few weeks ago.  She got married this weekend and is now off in Antigua, enjoying her much-deserved honeymoon.  We went with a black and white color scheme, utilizing hot pink (bride's favorite color) as an accent color.  All of the paper goods were handmade by Beyond Words Invitation Studio.

Here's Lori, opening her presents from her Princess chair.

Raspberry Bellinis...Yum!

A couple of favor boxes stacked up

Inside the favor boxes were 2 mini bundt cake pans, a recipe we created, and enough mix to make 2 mini "Sealed With a Kiss" cakes

We used a live plant to create a "Wishing Tree" in place of a traditional guestbook.  Guests were asked to write a wish or piece of advice for the bride-to-be.  By the end of the shower, there were a bunch of adorable little pink cards hanging from the tree with black and white ribbon.

On the invitation, we asked guests to dress in black and white to coordinate with the party.  Doesn't everyone look great all matching?

That's all folks!  Ta ta for now!
