Having invested $1 billion in revolutionising video streaming, Netflix wanted to show policymakers, the public and the industry exactly how their remarkable unseen technology works – and how everyone benefits.

Netflix had written a whitepaper. Our challenge was to transform its complex data, ideas and information into an eye-opening physical experience that could both educate and entertain people.

So we created a pair of imaginative, interactive installation pieces to communicate complex technology in ways that were fun, fascinating and memorable.

First, visitors could watch how Netflix movies make the journey from storage to screen in seconds, shrinking into packets of compressed data, then pulse and flow through beautiful pipelines of light.

Next, things get interactive with a frantic button-mashing game that challenges people to 'fill the broadband'. It’s another playful interactive demonstration of the innovative science that Netflix uses to ensure free-flowing streaming for everyone.

These epic interactive exhibition pieces are almost 6ft tall. But they’re also portable. We designed each one within a robust flight case that can be easily closed, wheeled out and shipped anywhere in the world. From Europe to the United States, they left a lasting impression.
